21 goes green with winning pitch for Low Carbon Energy Company

Ged Ennis, The Low Carbon Energy Company

21 Digital has won a three-way Design Council pitch to complete an ambitious branding and website refresh for renewables experts, The Low Carbon Energy Company.

The Low Carbon Energy Company is a multi-service provider in the rapidly expanding renewables sector, providing large businesses and public sector organisations with cost-saving and carbon-cutting technologies such as Solar PV, LED lighting and energy monitoring systems.

As a leading UK energy-saving supplier, The Low Carbon Energy Company need an online presence that will reflect their status, help them to grow and enhance the way they do business. The current site doesn’t cut the mustard so it’s a complete overhaul on the cards – from the design and function of their website to the way their sales and marketing processes are carried out.

The Burnley-based company brought on board The Design Council – the UK Government’s official advisors on all things design – to help get the ball rolling on this ambitious new project. All that was left was to find a savvy marketing agency to help fulfil the brief.

After being invited to pitch by The Design Council, we were thrilled to discover that we’d pipped two other local agencies to the post.

Sam Fletcher, Marketing Director

Speaking about the project, our marketing director Sam Fletcher commented:

“We’re thrilled to have been successful in our pitch: this is the second time we’ve had the opportunity to work with The Design Council and we’re looking forward to getting stuck in.

“The Low Carbon Energy Company is a great local firm with huge potential for expansion but the current website’s just not doing them justice.

“We’ll be working closely with The Design Council to refresh both their overall brand and website, delivering a responsive, streamlined and professional site that’s designed to drive contact with their business development team.

“We’ll also be producing a promotional video, which will be used as part of their future direct marketing campaigns. The emphasis for all this is going to be on the quality of The Low Carbon Energy Company’s products and service; we need to showcase them as the industry leader they are.”

The new website is part of a drive to increase The Low Carbon Energy Company’s turnover to £2 million, reduce its lead time and increase sales by 100%. Effective brand, design, marketing and communication is set to reposition the company as a market leader, drawing higher levels of online traffic and convert more visitors into active leads.

The new, mobile-optimised site will be ideal for attracting busy corporate decision makers, allowing them to browse products and services on the go, while email marketing, integrated social media and Google AdWords campaigns will raise awareness on a broader scale.

The Low Carbon Energy Company’s operations director, Ged Ennis, commented on 21 Digital’s appointment, saying:

“We chose Sam and the team at 21 Digital because we felt they could best interpret our needs for the re-brand. We see this exercise as critical to The Low Carbon Energy Company’s growth, and felt that 21 Digital marketing agency were the company best equipped to help us deliver.

Here at 21 Digital, we try to take a step back when a company tells us they need a website. Instead, we look at what the company’s objectives are and help them to identify innovative ways of achieving those aims and more.
